In May 2022, Denny passed away after a lifetime dedicated to the youth of Freehold, NJ as a teacher, coach, athletic director, summer camp director, and youth group leader. The Denny Tave Memorial Scholarship honors his legacy by continuing to inspire and create opportunities for students at Freehold High School.

This scholarship recognizes students who embody Denny's exceptional qualities: they are well-rounded scholar-athletes who not only pursue personal success but also strive to enrich their community.
